Note: Sorry for not making any videos in 2 and a half weeks. Lately, there has been long periods in between AlfaTube videos. But don't worry, we are working on it!

Also, the reason that I uploaded this video in February is because I didn't have enough time to edit this and World's Strongest Engine 6 in December due to the holidays. I was going to put this video on AlfaTube on Christmas Day, but I wasn't finished with editing this video, so I put on WSE 6 instead.

One more thing: sorry for uploading this video in 720p. Most people won't notice, but some people do notice. We'll make sure that doesn't happen again!

See you soon!

100 Subscribers Special video!

Thanks to our viewers and subscribers, AlfaTube now has 100 subscribers!
We have been waiting 2 years and 5 months for that to happen, and the time has finally come!
On December 29th, 2016, AlfaTube got our 100th subscriber! Our 100th subscriber was Flower44 VLOGS!
Since AlfaTube has 100 subscribers, there will be some changes, which you can find on The AlfaTube Blog. One of the changes will be a new AlfaTube end screen.
Again, thank you for 100 subscribers!

Channel Update: 100 Subscribers! AlfaTube changes, sorry for no videos in 1 month, Happy (Late) Holidays, 100 Subscriber Special video coming tomorrow

Hello, this is Adonis, and you're reading the AlfaTube Blog. On this Channel Update, we'll be talking about 5 things. The first thing is about AlfaTube having 100 subscribers. Thanks to our viewers and subscribers, we now have...

100 Subscribers!

We have been waiting 2 years and 5 months for that to happen, and the time has finally come!
On December 29th, 2016, AlfaTube got our 100th subscriber! Our 100th subscriber was Flower44 VLOGS! You can check out her channel by clicking here.
According to the YouTube Creator Academy, 100 subscribers is a big milestone for a YouTube channel!

The next things are about the changes for AlfaTube.
Since AlfaTube has 100 subscribers, there will be some changes.
The first change is the new custom URL for AlfaTube. When a YouTube channel gets 100 subscribers, YouTube gives you the option to have a custom URL. A custom URL means that people can access your channel with a customized link (ex. youtube.com/AlfaTube), not with the channel ID that YouTube gives you (ex. youtube.com/channel/UC6gFPZFCP_zbPBSVhYnEIAA).
Our new custom URL is youtube.com/AlfaTube.
It doesn't matter if the link is lowercase or uppercase.
So now when you share AlfaTube with your family and friends, instead of giving them the bit.ly shortened link (bit.ly/AlfaTubeChannel), you can give them our new custom URL.

The second change is the new AlfaTube end screen template. Here is how the new template looks like:

In November 2016, we replaced the old annotations system with the new end screen system, which we talked about in the last Channel Update. Here is a section of the last Channel Update:

The next thing is about the end screens in our newest videos. End screens are like updated annotations that now work on mobile devices. Since end screens now have guidelines and borders, we have made a whole new template just for end screens...You can find out more about end screens by clicking here.

Here are the features of the new end screen template. The "Previous Video" and "Next Video" sections have been replaced with "Related Playlist" and "Recommended".
The "Related Playlist" section shows a playlist related to the video. For example, on the World's Strongest Engine 5 video, it would show the AlfaTube World's Strongest Engine playlist with more WSE videos.
The "Recommended" section shows a video from AlfaTube that is recommended to the user that is watching the video. The video in this section depends on the user and what the user recently watched on AlfaTube.
I like this template better because then people can find what they're looking for in an easier way. AlfaTube also gets more views on older or less viewed videos with the new template.

The third change is the new AlfaTube description layout. The example used is a modified description on the World's Strongest Engine 5 video. The new layout is too big to show here, so you can look at it by clicking here.
I like this layout better because it's more organized. I also like it because when people search something like "world's strongest engine", it shows the first 2 sentences of the description, and I don't want those first 2 sentences on a AlfaTube video description to be links.

The final change is not that noticeable, but it is that the text on the AlfaTube banner is smaller. This is so that the banner can look better on phones, tablets, and computers. Here is a picture of the new banner:

The text may be small now, but when the banner is put on, the text will fit right in the banner frame.

Here is when all of the changes (except for the custom URL) will take effect.
The new end screen template and the new description layout will take effect starting with the video after World's Strongest Engine 7, and the modified AlfaTube banner will take effect right when the 100 subscribers special comes out.

The third thing is sorry for taking a 1 month break in between the Divino's Custom LEGO Minifigures 4 video and the World's Strongest Engine 6 video. The break was due to the holiday season (Thanksgiving, Christmas).

The fourth thing is...

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays from AlfaTube! More like "Happy Late Holidays." The holidays already ended!
For the holidays, we made new holiday logos which you can see below:

Unfortunately, AlfaTube will not be celebrating the holidays with videos this year. But we'll make holiday videos next year!

The final thing is that our 100 subscriber special video is coming tomorrow. Stay tuned for the video!

That's all for now. Remember to like, comment, and subscribe to AlfaTube and we'll see you on the next post!
